Ooooh, it's quite nearly done! Yay! Here's an excerpt from the story:
“I’m following my destiny,” Lina whispered.
“You’re following your what?” A tiny appalled gasp followed as Roxy apparently realised something. “Not that creepy wanker’s mate?”
“What are you talking about? He is absolutely fantastic. Roxy, I’ve known him before. I just know it. We knew each other in a past life. In several past lives in fact. And I think we’re supposed to find each other in this life. To find love. This is our time.”
“Oh my god, you’ve completely lost it.” Roxy sounded shocked. “You do hear it, don’t you? Oh, please tell me that you do realise how absolutely insane that sounds.”
“Yes, of course I do.”
“Oh, thank fuck!”
“But our fates across lifetimes are intertwined. What can I do, Roxy? I have to go where my destiny takes me.”
“Lina!” Roxy yelled in a rather shrill voice. “Stop stalking that bloke, do you hear me? I’ll ring the police if you don’t come back to work immediately. I mean it!”
“The police?” Lina breathed and immediately threw herself up against the wall she was passing in an attempt to hide from Nicholas as he suddenly looked back over his shoulder. “But I haven’t done anything,” she protested in a quiet voice. Several bypassers stared at her. Some with surprised amusement, others glared at her as though they thought she was an escapee from a mental institution. But Lina ignored the looks and instead she breathed a sigh of relief as she realised Nicholas had just looked back in order to cross the street safely. She hurried after him.
“No, not yet you haven’t. But what will you do when he finds out that he has a crazy stalker following him around everywhere he goes? What will you do when he rings the police?”
“I’m not crazy...”
“That’s a matter of opinion, sweetie!”
“Oh my god, I have to go. He’s getting into a taxi.”
“Lina, let him go!”
